"The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" by Mary Ann Shaffer

It takes place in 1946 after the occupation by the German army. The book is a series of letters discussing the impact of the occupation on the people of Guernsey. Heartwarming and funny. It made me want to visit the islands after listening to the book. Four stars
