Now that Mac has found what she was looking for, she needs to prepare in order to win the war (this coincides with revenge for her sister). This book gives us a little more detail on V'lane and Barrons-but just enough to keep wanting more! The search is on for the book and sometimes the journey is much more fascinating than the actual goal. We are introduced to another charachter, Christian MacKeltar, who gets added to the list of ever growing handsome males. But the mystery deepens too of course, a villain thought dead comes back to haunt Mac. And finally the realization that she is slowly becoming a different person after being witness to so much violence. The book ends with another realization for Mac and this time its with consequences.
This book, in my opinion is the slowest of the four out so far. Just because Moning is establishing some ground rules in this one. It's easy to be carried away with the story but you have to be on your toes! Everything mentioned in the book has some relevance at one point in time...
Favorite part of the book: The DVD being left in Mac's room
Grossest part of the book: A new munchie to add to the menu-double yuck!!
